TRIBE WEEKLY WORKOUT 9 - 01/11/22

TRIBE WEEKLY WORKOUT 9 - 01/11/22

Partner workout time tribe!

Going into battle alone defines the character of a warrior… However, to be successful in the battles of life you can’t face every conflict without a buddy covering your six, a fellow Spartan who’s shield protects your side, or a tribe member as badass as you who is ready to run head first into battle with you!

November is a month of remembrance for the battle buddies that didn’t make it home with us, and for the pairs of battle buddies who fought the final fight together paying the ultimate sacrifice. With those reflections in mind Novembers workouts will be partner WODs, to not only ensure your fitness, but to push your partners to greatness with you.

Tribe Functional Fitness WOD

With a partner complete the following workout;

 HANG IN THERE BUDDY

AMRAP x20MIN

5 Devils Presses (25/15lbs) + 5 Burpees

1 Partner hangs from a pull-up bar (or similar) while the other partner completes the 2 movements (5reps each).

Then the hanging partner drops and starts into the movements once the partner that just finished the movements jumps up and starts hanging off the pull up bar.
Continue switching rolls (movements vs dead hang) and complete AMRAP in 20min (1 round = both partners have completed the 5reps of each movement)

***SHOULDER THE PARTNER HANGING DROP BEFORE THE OTHER PARTNER FINISHES THEIR MOVEMENTS….

5 BURPEES WILL BE ADDED EACH TIME (TO BE COMPLETED BY BOTH PARTNERS) AT THE END OF THE WORKOUT

(Exp: over the course of the 20min workout a total of 8 drops between the 2 partners = 40 burpees to be completed as a team at the end.)

This starts off easy while both you and your partner are fresh, but after only a few rounds the partner on the movements needs to stay consistent with their pace because their buddy is hanging on for dear lift (with dead hang). This workout Instils a sense of accountability you have with your effort, because someone else suffers if you take your time on the movements, and you both suffer if the partner can’t hang on for you to do your work - and we do not cause pain to our battle buddies.
